This year’s James Bond 007 theme promises an evening of intrigue and great entertainment.

On the evening of April 27, Walsh Jesuit will undergo a spectacular transformation, embodying the adventure of James Bond 007 for its annual Warrior Gala. The fundraiser promises an unforgettable night featuring a fancy dinner and exciting prizes, including a year of free tuition, a trip to the beautiful beaches of Turks and Caicos, a new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, and a puppy.

The gala begins with Mass, followed by a cocktail hour, a sit-down dinner, and the highly anticipated after-party featuring a DJ to keep the energy pumping into the night. The transformation of the Commons and Dome into a James Bond-themed wonderland sets the stage for the amazing night.

Last year’s event saw an impressive turnout of 535 attendees and raised over $760,000, showcasing the Warrior community’s dedication. The gala is an important fundraising opportunity that brings students, families, and other supporters together to celebrate, honor, and support our mission.

Elyse Bonsky, a sophomore server last year, reflected on her experience, “I had such a great time and loved seeing everyone come together. I am looking forward to this year’s gala!”

Students play an essential role in the gala’s success, offering their time and talents in various jobs such as serving food, assisting with technology, setting up, cleaning up, and more. “Students are what keeps the gala going,” shared Ms. BreeOnna Springer, Special Events Manager overseeing the Warrior Gala.

The gala also features a “push week” leading up to the event, where the community is encouraged to purchase raffle and attendance tickets, contribute items for the silent auction, and participate in various fundraising activities. These efforts are rewarded with dress-down days, special lunches, and gift cards for students. This year, students enjoyed Chipotle at school as a reward for their contributions—yum!

“The Warrior Gala is a great opportunity to raise funding for the school, and it is wonderful to see the school transformed into such a vibrant venue,” shared junior Lauren Stephens.
