CenterStage Theatre is turning the stage into a mansion full of mystery, laughter, and suspense this fall with its production of Clue: High School Edition. Performances will take place Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. in the theatre.
Based on the 1985 film and the classic board game, Clue is a fast-paced murder mystery filled with iconic characters and plenty of surprises. The story begins when six guests arrive at a dinner party, only to discover that their host has been murdered. From there, the audience is taken on a hilarious and thrilling journey to uncover who did it, where, and with what weapon.
The cast has been hard at work transforming the stage into a world of suspense and comedy. “I am very excited to perform this play,” said Grace Anthony, who plays Mrs. Peacock. “I grew up on the board game and have watched the movie so many times.”
Director Mr. Matia shared his excitement for the show’s mix of humor and intrigue. “Clue is the perfect blend of mystery and comedy,” he said. “The audience will be laughing one moment and gasping the next. I know our cast will do an amazing job at performing.”

Students around campus are also looking forward to the performance. “I have high hopes for this play and its success of seeing it come to life on the stage,” said Elyse Bonksy. “The past plays have not been catching my attention, but this play seems fun and exciting. I can’t wait to see it!”
Ella DeBenedictis said she will be attending opening night. “Some of my friends are in the play, and I’m so excited to see them perform.”
CenterStage Theatre, part of Walsh Jesuit’s Performing Arts program, offers a major fall play and spring musical each year and has earned regional recognition through Playhouse Square’s Dazzle Awards. This year’s choice, Clue: High School Edition, invites both cast and audience to share in the fun of solving a classic whodunit.
“By the end of the night,” Mr. Matia added with a smile, “everyone will be on the edge of their seats, because in this mansion, no one is safe.”
