Nothing is worse than driving around town late at night during the summer and not being able to find a good spot to eat. Fear no more. Here are some places around town to satisfy your late-night munchies.

The #1 place on the list, and possibly the most popular, has to go to Swensons Drive-In, best known for their burgers and shakes. Their signature burger, the Galley Boy, is an award winning double cheeseburger smothered in two special sauces. More of their great choices include fries, onion rings, potato teezers, fried mushrooms, and their 18 scrumptious milkshake flavors.

Swensons is a great late-night choice because it is open until 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 12:00 a.m. the rest of the week. Adding to its convenience, Swensons has nine locations including in North Akron, West Akron, Stow, and Montrose.

Another great choice is Luigi’s Restaurant, an Italian eatery best known even to out-of-staters for their pizza. Retro wooden booths along with the boisterous conversations that fill the air make Luigi’s like no other.

Luigi’s, open until 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and 12:00 a.m. every other night of the week, is conveniently located in a recently redeveloped part of downtown Akron, just a short drive from WJ.

And, if you’re really desperate at 4:00 in the morning, there’s always Taco Bell.
