Green Smoothie Craze

Since many people struggle to get their full serving of veggies each day, this is an easy way to do so. Green smoothies provide a long-lasting source of energy and a balanced sugar content, unlike fruits whose sugar wears off after a short burst. In addition, leafy greens are loaded with vitamins and antioxidants while at the same time helping to eliminate the amount of salt in one’s diet.

And that’s not all. The drinks are low in calories yet high in water and fiber, so they make one full faster. The smoothies are easy to digest quickly, due to the contents being blended into liquid form.

Green smoothies will keep the body hydrated. Rather than having to drink eight glasses of water in one day, adding more water to a green smoothie will satisfy one’s thirst, according to VegKitchen.
