The team lost eleven seniors last year, making for a challenging adjustment; however with experienced coaching, they are working towards the team’s traditional success. Dino McIntyre has been the coach since 1993 and has won nine state titles and three national titles.

Coach Dino said, “Our team has adjusted fairly well after losing eleven seniors. We have welcomed eleven new players; they have done a good job filling in their respective roles, and we have gained new leadership and new captains.”

WJ women’s soccer is different from other teams. Sofia Rossi observed, “There is no other program that has as many alumni or current players that have the same chemistry or family atmosphere like Walsh.” Sofia is a senior captain and forward and has committed to play for Wake Forrest.
